The continual refrain by the gang has been that they got the best deal they possibly could from the MRC. Residents should therefore be grateful for the few crumbs that have been thrown our way. As a “negotiating team” the outcomes are terrible. The other night Hyams claimed that of the 7 points that council passed in relation to the requirements for the racecourse that they had achieved 1 and bits from others. That’s barely a pass mark for any super duper negotiating team. Tonight won’t be any different. The application will be passed and we’ll get the prepared speeches and chest beating and hollow statements about sticking to planning law and no justification for anything.

The problem is, that it may have been a good they got at the RC, but because everyone remain so secretive about it, who knows the truth.
I for one would like to support our councillors in there efforts, but at the moment they do not deserve my support. Surly it has to be a two way street. It show how little they care or have learned from the Community Consultation Strategy.

Two way street, sorry, Its a one way 4 lane highway, hopefully that turns into a gravel road with a dead end at after the next elections.
