The next meeting of Trustees of the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve [CRR] will be held on Thursday 8 March 2012.
Trustee meetings are not open to the General Public; however Trustees have resolved that any Glen Eira resident wishing to address a specific Agenda Item as listed by the Trustees, must first submit their request in writing to the Chairman in advance of the CRR Trustees meeting. The Trustees will then consider the request and, if appropriate, invite the resident to attend for that specific agenda item only.
Correspondence should be addressed to:
The Chairman Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Level 1 25 Flinders Lane Melbourne VIC 3000
Or emailed to: CRRTrustees@bigpond.com
We note that in the past when residents have ‘applied’ to address such meetings they have been denied the ‘privilege’! The non-informative agenda is uploaded HERE |

According to the MRC/GECC agreement on Community Visibility, by April 2012 existing fencing will be replace by palisade at the corner of Neerim Rd and Queens Ave, at the northern section of Queens Ave and adjacent to the main entrance. With one month to go on the agreement and nothing happening to date, there must be a few Councillors sweating. Meanwhile the MRC have had their massive development not only approved by state government but tenders shortlisted. Shows what can happen when they want it to happen.

It will never happen – get over it. The Melbourne Racing Club and Newton and Lipshutz got what they wanted- C60 over the line and approved. Time to move on to current issues.

Hey, this is a current issue and will stay such until they finish building in 10 or 15 years time and people’s lives are stuffed by noise, traffic, dirt, pollution, and then the cramming. Stuff can be rescinded as they did with the St. Kilda triangle. Just vote this lot out and get rid of Newton and maybe pay out a few mill and all is hunkey dorey. A few mil is cheap compared to what it will cost for gesac.

Your dreaming, the St Kilda triangle is not the comparable with the business of MRC, this goes to the very top of the top. It would make no difference if Mewton, Lipshutz, and all there tin soldiers didn’t want it, it would still steam on through.
And I am not saying roll over and play dead either, just stop looking for people to blame, the racecourse draws moths to the candle and burns them one after another, personally I cannot see the attraction in self immolation over this dead loss.

It’s a shame that the MRC are not holding up their end of the deal. A small token of opening up some parts of the racetrack to the community may have made more people interested in the races but I guess it was never about that, just getting a deal over the line.

interesting the MRC had a blimp at the racecourse on Saturday. They had it up in the air at 7pm and it was overlooking my house. What is their overrall agenda going forward get rid of all the local residents? , Interesting reading the history of the racecourse think on the GE residents site. Basically MRC (VATC) has been basically acting the same for 150 years and they continue to get away with it.
