So it looks like there is no benefits in all this high density dwellings recently built. If fact it’s costing ratepayers money. Newton’s role as competent CEO must be in question.

Big companies shed staff and rationalise their spending. Council does the opposite. Gets more employees and increased wages well above what everyone else gets. Must be great working for this council or one of their favourite contractors. I want rate capping because then they have to show cause for any rate rise. I’m sick and tired of being fleeced with no improvement in services.

The State Government has released a discussion paper on rate capping and is calling for submissions.

No wonder councils don’t want rate capping. It would stop this fleecing and make the buggers more accountable for every dollar they spend. I’m in favour of getting rid of them altogether. Too many governments and too many no hopers running multi million operations.
