If you take the Racecourse out of the Glen Eira public land calculations (how do you get in there anyway with that ugly tin fence surrounding it), Glen Eira has the LOWEST area of public open space of all the municipalities listed in the document. I don’t see this getting mentioned in the Glen Eira News.

Just looked at the GE homepage. What a bunch of wankers this council is. Stuff is years old and its full of how fabulous they are. Nothing about monday night’s meeting although the election of mayor gets two mentions in a link and also in upcoming events. reckon the meeting on monday is heaps more important than the election of esakoff. seem to remember that they hired some consultant to improve their website. they should ask for their money back. it’s impossible to find anything you’re really looking for – but this might be the hidden agenda. Don’t give people information; make them really work for it – that’s if it’s even available. I’m not surprised there’s nothing about the public land investigation from ge. They’d actually have to do something then and plan for its proper use. Since they haven’t then they don’t want to highlight their failures.

Glen Eira Council lodged a submission some time ago, during the first phase of consultation. Most of it was irrelevant to the the VEAC terms of reference, just regurgitation of the usual stuff.
