Long live Bayside and Port Phillip. Glen Eira is dead and buried as long as this continues. A 3 term mayor, but name me one thing that Esakoff has achieved during her 7 years as a councillor apart from backing Lipshits to the hilt.

I will tell you what she has achieved – she was mayor when her very own council was sacked. How such a person keeps getting re-elected is a sad indictment on the people of Glen Eira, but clearly she has more front than Myer and absolutely no shame. Glen Eira will head even further backwards under this incompetent so-called leader.
I feel another sacking in the air.

So this means our supposedly independent councillors – Pilling, Penhalluriack, Magee, Forge – all voted with the so-called gang of four. All voted to give another term to one of the least competent Mayors we have ever had. Well there goes any hope that there is some shred of integrity on our council. It is just astounding that these people thought that Esakoff is the best qualified person to lead council. Very disappointing.

Let’s face it Glen Huntly – who else is there? Lobo would be a disaster and so would Pilling. Magee would have to curb his ego and look further afield than Tucker Ward. Penhalluriack, and Lipshits are too busy. That leaves Hyams, Forge and Esakoff. Hyams works full time, Forge is still learning the ropes. Thus, we’re stuck with Esakoff. And Tang will go. So it doesn’t matter anyway who sits in the chair. The real control, power, and manipulation occurs from behind the scenes. Newton runs everything. Whoever you put in as Mayor becomes his mouthpiece – maybe not to the extent of Tang, but enough to get what he wants done. And all hunkey dorey ‘legal’ since it is councillors who vote we’re repeatedly told.

How do you elect a Mayor that was sacked a few years back? Has this Council got any people who really care for the community.
