Mr Smart Aleck I hope you had time today to read page 3 of the Age. I refer to an article headed “Bra boss in $9m bullying claim”. The article also refers to the recent David Jones sexual harassment claim. Look at the amounts involved Smart Aleck and then laugh it off. My legal knowledge tells me that if the Councillor/s involved have acted improperly then they may not be covered by Diractors Insurance. In my opinion several Councillors need to apologise to the CEO or face the consequences.

Mr Anonymous, thank you for your reference to the Age article. In fact I did read it and found it most illuminating. Two things come to mind immediately. Bullying is not to be tolerated and that people in power are often bullies. Now as for the rest of your considered legal opinion I refer you to Reprobate’s comments of a day or so back where the mere fact of asking questions is the legitimate right of all councillors and the failure to provide honest, timely and accurate answers is the failure of the respondent. I believe that Messrs. Newton and Burke “need to apologise to various (councillors) or face the consequences”.

Don’t worry about “anonymous” he is “toying” around when he espouses legal opinions. Seen it before.

Could someone please tell me what the difference is between a “joining fee” and an “administration fee’? Considering that the budget has set aside $95,000 for software at gesac, then administration should really be only a couple of keystrokes on a computer. It would also be good to know whether this administration fee is going to be an annual charge. The bottom line of course is that there is no difference – it just all boils down to spin and marketing and pulling the wool over people’s eyes.
