The Glen Eira Residents’ Association has organised a ‘meet the candidates’ forum. Details are:
DATE: Sunday, October 7th
TIME: 3pm for a 3.30 pm start
VENUE: St. John’s Uniting Church, 567 Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick
They’ve also drafted a series of questions for candidates to answer. See their website for full information on this.
Glen Eira Debates encourages all residents interested in the future of this council to show up and also put their questions. Perhaps then, the chaff will be separated from the wheat and residents will know which candidates are likely to truly represent them.

Questions are good. They will test the stooges to see if they really know anything about policies and goings on in Glen Eira.

The stooges won’t be there.

What’s the bet hardly any Councillors, particularly the gang (this includes Tang’s stooge) will show. They wouldn’t want to have to face a group of residents – easier to shovel bullsh*t when it’s one on one

Is it true that the President of GERA is a candidate and therefore this creates an air of suspicion and ruins the Independance of the Organisation. Has Don done the right thing and tendered his resignation?

Read their constitution up on the web. They don’t endorse any candidates and the forum isn’t endorsed by Dunstan so I would think that he has resigned. He might still be a member but to be fair you should ask all other candidates if they’re members of political parties which by the way gera isn’t.
