Hyams is Clark Kent in disguise. A closet superman who singlehandedly can leap tall building and achieve all on his little lonesome gesac, and get this, improved community consultation. I’m still waiting for the latter. And lordy oh lord he’s gonna “take advantage” of the planning reforms to boot! That means a rubber stamp for developers based on his track record. Most of this guff is quite sickening.

I am always surprised that Council continues to think that the email newsletter is a consultation improvement. Instead of trotting out the line, perhaps they should ask “how frequently are newsletters sent out, how many residents have subscribed and what topics are covered in the newsletters”.
I think e-news has excellent potential (and is very cost effective) but since I signed up (over three years ago) I have received a maximum of 4. It’s extremely unfortunate that this Council fails to use it or looks for ways to maximise its potential.

There’s no mention of returning officer for the how to vote card. It’s as illegal as the Lipshutz ad. Amazing that such a guru on the local government act can stuff up twice.

All these stuff ups by the lawyer councillors who are supposed to be dmocracy lovers are only a reflection of how little they respect our democracy as has been repeatedly reported in the chamber of terror when Crs. Hyams and Esakoff have been sitting on the mayoral throne.
