I don’t see how it will be possible to establish a level playing field unless the legislation itself is tightened dramatically. The investigations carried out by the inspectorate were worthless of course despite the increasing number of complaints. Those with money, or with backing will always be favoured.

Was it really just luck that the gang members or their supporters drew positions on the ballot papers in such favourable positions??

ALP insider tells me that Lobo and Magee are going hammer and tong for the Mayoralty for 2014. Lobo has the support off the greens plus Delahunty. They fear Magee will join the gang. Happy days in Clown Hall.
