We wish to remind readers that residents are busily collecting a petition to go to Council next week (22nd November). According to the Council guidelines, this must be presented 2 working days prior to the meeting. So we ask all those interested to please download the petition , get it signed and return to POBOX 322 Elsternwick. 3185.
PS: we’ve been asked to inform people that if it is too difficult, or too late to mail the completed petition forms, then they can email this site (gedebates@gmail.com) and they will be picked up from residents’ homes.

Nothing is ever too late! McKinnon basketballers proved this. When residents flock to put their names to something in a short period of time, then it should signal to councillors that all isn’t rosy in Glen Eira and that the community wants a change of direction.

Surely these specially chosen councillors will see the sense of advertising this tem[porary position which this person has held for over ten years now and see if they can find new ideas with other experienced CEOs or just stick to ythe same one. As ratepayers we deservrer to see everyone attempting to make a fair affort of selecting the best team captain for the future.

Sense? Councillors? Ya gotta be joking! especially when they’re dealing with the likes of lawyer happy, bullying alleger Newton! Common sense ain’t the missing ingredient – just guts and for once putting ratepayers first.

I see Mr Newton has been given another 2 year contract till 2014

If that’s the case then all Councillors, except Frank (the one councillor excluded in this whole sham) would be well advised to clear up their calendars in the lead up to November, 2012.
Election time is not looking good for those that voted to re-appoint – they have seriously misjudged the community.

Good job Councillors!!! If this is true you have turned the otherwise mundane November, 2012 into something much more interestiong
