We will report on the ‘debate’ in the days ahead.
Item 9.1 – Railway Cresc. application

It seems the continually raising and re-raising the issue of the conservatory, while letting it continue to decline, has finally worked. Gonna be interesting to see exactly what the process from here will be – the assured outcome is a cafe. The only questions are the processes that will be used to push it through, what little information will provided to the community, how much parkland will be lost and how much Council will have to spend to shore up the building and make it suitable for a cafe operator to become interested.
Re the Railway Crescent application Council has done what always does in situations when residents rigorously oppose an application. Council either
1) Council’s planning department has already agreed the amendments with the developer and residents are appeased that at least something has been done.
2) refuses or amends the application and the developer takes it to VCAT and he will get what he wants because the Glen Eira Planning Scheme is so inadequate that the as proposed (unamended) development complies with it. Council can now blame VCAT rather than admitting and addressing the inadequacies of the planning scheme.

When will Okotel see the light and get away from Esakoff. Time to represent us Okotel not Esakoff.

Predictable voting block, and has Okotel ever voted against Esakoff?

Okotel has entered the Council to serve her ‘Master’ Esakoff and not the residents. Like a parrot she repeats the same words and supports the same motion that of Esakoff. She either blindly believes Esakoff or talks to her over the phone on how to vote on an item in the Agenda. Okotel will only realise when she is pulled by the Ombudsman. Is she really a lawyer or a dignified clerk? Perhaps she should spend more time in her family’s bottle-shop.
