PS: We also direct readers’ attention to the following snap shot from the latest Annual Report. Please note:
- ‘Neighbourhood character’ only applies to Minimal Change – in contradiction of council’s own planning scheme!
- No ‘resolution’ provided to council re introduction of the new zones – simply an ‘implementation report’ – and after the fact of course!

What’s the date of the latest annual report – the minimal change policy was given the chop over a year ago.
Instead we have the new high density zones imposed without consultation and repeated claims that they haven’t caused this onslaught.

Council’s exclusive emphases on minimal change does not go down too well for many residents. There is policy that is also supposed to direct what happens in housing diversity. That does not rate a mention because the policies are not applied.

interesting article in the Planning News written by Rocky Camera of Glen Eira.
In this article good old Rocky describes the growth zones as the “GO” zones – developers and estate agents have taken that description to new heights – and also states that “These policies were incorporated into the Planning Scheme fotlowing extensive community consultation”.

off topic but from the October meeting. Why would Okotel do this – free tickets to the races or were one of the gang hoping someone else would second it?
