The vision of some at the MRC is for life beyond Caulfield as a racing and training centre. There is a sense trainers won’t be there for more than five or 10 years and that Caulfield will have an inner synthetic and outer grass and race day and night; Sha Tin and Happy Valley, all in one.

Glen Eira which fools set the new precedent of 10 floors? Now greedy developers also want 6 floors opposite Aviv. Please name these fools?

It pitches to the young and hip and makes lots of money through off-course projects. With pumping bars, a casual dress code and late feature-day finishes, it’s not a place for geeks or those with early dinner reservations. Its membership is through the roof.
