The fine print is really small but if you read between the lines you can just make out “Written by J. Hyams and Authorised by M. Lipshutz”

He ceased to listen before his first term was completed. Far easier to just rubber stamp administration calls. A con!
Transparency was another of his promises. However he always voted in favour of in-camera meetings. A con!
Openness was yet another of his promises. Have a look at how often he has stopped or curtailed debate on major issues. A con!
Accountability was yet another of his promises. Yet he dismisses almost any request for reasons behind decisions preferring to pass off residents to the administration. A con!
He was elected as a Green. Resigned to become a reactionary. Had he any ethics he would have resigned from Council the day he turned his back on his constituency. A con!
Don’t be surprised if he does a preference deal with Esakoff in an attempt to save his skin.
And if Sounness is sufficiently foolish to entertain any deal with the turncoat it will adversely affect his vote.
Let’s rid ourselves of the con.

The advice I would give Pilling is to retire. His vote in 2012 was significantly lower. In 2016 it will have hit rock bottom given his treachery.

There is an absolute wealth of hypocritical behavior and reasoning in here. But seriously after reading just some of his postings, what on earth happened?, did Newton and the gang brainwash the poor man. Pilling now just a walking talking as fairly described above a “reactionary conservative”. Is this what the promise of getting the Mayor’s position twice can do to a weak man. I’m shocked beyond belief.

Extract from Council’s website on the Community Satisfaction Survey
Council performance in consultation and engagement, traffic management, parking facilities and town planning policy were significantly lower than the statewide average.
Pretty much shows that Pilling is not alone, there’s 8 others standing with him!!!

This man like ALL the councillors are (MODERATORS: word deleted) and incompetent fools as far as the planning scheme is concerned. The public concerns raised during the PS review have not been addressed and can be buy simply placing those concerns into overlays and height limits within each zone – particularly the commercial zones. Time and time again VCAT has shown this council the problems with our PS by overturning council decisions. These morons still insist that a policy statement is the real deal. THEY ALL NEEDTO GO.

Honestly it turns my stomach to read this and see what he has done in his 8 years on council. The longer he has been there the more arrogant he has become. Being a mayor I suppose does that to you and the money doesn’t hurt either. The other advantage of the new look Pilling is that you don’t have to think for yourself. You take orders from Hyams and Lipshutz and you shut up any councillor who has the courage to challenge something these rat bags have said.

Read this from Neil Pilling Thursday, January 19, 2012. It’s amazing how he changed or reversed his thinking to fall in with the thinking and actions of Hyams and Lipshutz. What he seemed to believe before 2012 radically changed soon after.
The question is what happened to bring this about?
The following is Pilling own words 2012
Council meeting items and the issue of Confidentialty The seemingly burgeoning amount of in-camera (confidentfial) agenda items not only here in Glen Eira but also in other municipalities including the City of Melbourne where a recent meeting had less than twenty mins of public discussion has been highlighted recently. I acknowledge the concerns raised on this issue by the local website Glen Eira debates.
Yesterday I raised the following points with other Crs and the CEO.
-“One of the issues for Glen Eira in 2012 is how to address the seemingly increasing amount of confidential items that are held in the in-camera section of the meeting agenda- increasingly so over the past few years.
Our aim as a Council should be to reduce this to the essential minimum so as to allow for as maximum public discussion as possible on agenda items.
Whilst I acknowledge that there are instances such as business tenders and OH @ S issues that require confidentiality I feel that there needs to be far greater efforts in keeping other items in the public agenda.
Other councils such as Port Phillip if necessary spilt the item in two to allow for public discussion.
At each of the pre-meeting assemblies there should be an improved discussion and questioning as to the why and of the need for any proposed confidential agenda item,”

Pulling Pilling would not have earned more than $60K in his life as a store keeper. Good on you GE debates for exposing this fella who should not be elected in October this year – not sure of the exact date. Esakoff is no fool to give her preference to this traitor unless she is a bird of same feather ….

Don’t be too sure about Pilling not doing a deal with Margaret. Pilling, Margaret and her husband Jack are as thick as thieves. Pilling has done a ‘U’ turn and is now a Lib so watch this space.

Pilling is a sham and (MODERATORS: phrase deleted). He has used his position on council (MODERATORS: rest of sentence deleted). The man has limited intellect and narrow and reactionary political views. He has misused his position on council with primarily his recompense as Mayor as his incentive! Beware voters of GE, if he returns for a further term you have only yourselves to blame.
