How To Add To ‘Neighbourhood Character’ – Murrumbeena!
Its a pity that the Leader newspaper cannot be more proactive and relevant, this should have been on page one; no wonder their subscription/circulation rates are making them less relevant day by day
The photograph says a lot about how useless this council is. The road is a patchwork of fix up jobs. The footpath looks a mess with more patch up jobs. Counted at least 15 bins so at least 15 apartments. Planning should have made it mandatory that developments of this size have their rubbish inside the property with access for the pick up trucks. That would mean less apartments and council is reluctant to bite into developer’s profits. There’s the electricity pole with the huge fixture. That should also not be in public space but on the inside of the property. This is what every street that’s being developed will look like until these morons decide to act and make developers responsible for fixing up roads, rubbish, and footpaths properly. That’s what councils are for aren’t they?
.
“Holy Hell Batman, that’s more bins than in the whole of Gotham City”
“Not quite Robin, but I can see what you mean, there’s lots of scope for the bad guys to hide-out behind that great bin wall”
“Maybe we should call this place Bin City; Batman”
“I’m not sure the locals would like that Robin”
