We are committed to facilitating genuine debate within Glen Eira. Your views on planning, environment, open space, CEO and councillor performance matter.
“Make things worst” is a understatement. I bet you 100 to one our Councillors will abandon the residents on this one, they will be given a script by the administration from which they will all sing in tune, they will act they they care whilst undermining the residents.
Steps already in place to turn virginia park into the biggest eyesore in the whole area. Newton’s already pushed and promised it. All that had to happen is the amendment then a mock consultation then the numerous development plans and more mock consultations without appeal rights and then they will vote in in like with caulfield village. Game set and match thank you very much.
Why would you make a statement accusing the CEO of actions you have no proof of. Your allegation completely ruins any argument you may have. What about density , traffic, amenity etc. The developer has every right to place this proposal before Council and it is then up to Council to process the application. As far as I know the CEO nor any of his staff have a vote in Council. Please provide proof of your claim. By the way no two sites are exactly the same. This land is ideal for some development but i agree with a mixed medium scale development . Imagine the traffic.

This blog quoted Newton’s email to Brice a little while back. That’s your proof. Newton doesn’t have to vote he just organises everything
