Impossible to drive down this street. These developments will bring in another 200 cars at least that will end up parking in nearby heritage streets.

This bunch of councillors are full of their own importance and have forgotten that residents came here to live in an outer suburb NOT an inner city like Carlton or Richmond. Blaming the VCAT for their incompetence within the planning scheme. Newton and his cronies should be let go and replaced by workers who want to see the suburbs stay that way.

Use by date for all of them is well and truly gone. I fail to see one single thing that any of them have contributed or achieved for residents.

I don’t follow the colour legend on the map. Are they other years per colour type of when the blocks were sold?

Apologies – we should have made this clearer.
The different colours represent one single application. The wording on the right hand side are properties that have recently been sold and no application has as yet been forthcoming. We anticipate that this will happen soon.
The coloured sites represent permits already granted and others under consideration – all are post zones. Assuming that those still to be decided will be granted their permits, then we’ve totally up 279 apartments in this section of Bent St alone. Most are 4 storeys with waiving of car parking for visitors.

To capture the magnitude of change, each block should be entirely coloured, given Council’s predilection for granting permits that approach 100% site coverage as measured by the concrete slab sitting on top of each boundary-to-boundary subterranean carpark. In future, we should also add a grey penumbra for the shadow higher-density and high-density developments cast.

Note the multiplication factor of dwellings at 331 Neerim Rd is 26 apartments for 2 houses i.e. 13 to 1 ratio. Have a look at 247-251 Neerim Rd (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKmh53L62Ss ) is 48 apartments to 3 houses i.e. 16 to 1 ratio. Consolidation of properties clearly gives more opportunities for bigger profits, so more opportunities to sleek advertising (see the video). A more sobering question is, will the new owners or residents vote against the densification or be very happy that they have got an apartment in a such a wonderful suburb like Carnegie?

How to destroy a Neighborhood – Easy peezee,
review all the posts, bring up a spread sheet on your computer, create 3 columns and then decide who has destroyed the neighbourhood..
First column – who has voted for and against
a motion.
Second column – What type of motion, was it for and any conflict of interest such as personal gain, family or community one belongs to such as Greeks, Italians, belonging to Aboriginese who have been badly treated by everyone and we are hypocratic in acknowledging their land. The aborigines are now aware of the white games that have been played.
Third column – Evaluate each Councillor’s performance with but keep in mind firmly that you know the character of each councillor, met them somewhere and spoken to them face to face and read their responses to your enquires or those that of your neighbours and friends.
Take the analysis to people who may be ignorant of the disloyalty of the Councillor they have voted in, including the political party they are members of.
If we cannot do this thoroughly and fair frankly we are all bozos and that is what the Councillors they think and they abuse this blog and all anonymous ones who are posting here. Rodney Andonomalous, Newton Gatoff Kay Rimbaldo, all those in Carnegie and Caulfield Elsternwick, Bentleigh East Bentleigh and anonymous of us should stand or shut our loose mouths once and for all.
