Wishing all our readers a healthy, peaceful and fulfilling 2020.
Reflecting on the past year, change is definitely needed as highlighted in the image below. We require:
- a council that fights tooth and nail for its residents
- a council that is open, transparent and accountable
- a council that engages in genuine consultation
- a council that listens and acts upon majority views
- a council that implements immediate height limits for all mixed use and commercial zones
- a council that has councillors equipped to deal with their oversight obligations

Best wishes to all. A big thanks to the owners of this blog. If I want real information about what council is up to then this is my first port of call. Keep up the great work.

Yup change is necessary. We need nine new councillors and the removal of all those useless planning people who have been there for yonks.

Without accurate information we can’t make the Council accountable. Thanks for the updates. Let’s work together in 2020 to make a difference.

Here’s hoping, but I’m very pessimistic. Recently, I have emailed council many times THE HEALTH DEPT. about an overflowing industrial food bin at the back of the Asian restaurants and apart from not being able to find it by sight or smell the female council officer actually suggested I photograph the offensive bin and what’s more that I run around to the shops and ask which shop owner owns the bin. WHAT ARE THEY BEING PAID TO DO? How can John Citizen carry out this survey without being offensive too?

You just never ever know what’s around the corner, we could see the smoky winds of change blowing way our very unintelligent councillors we have been burdened with. Or as Morrison would say “how good is climate change” and his Liberal party trickle-down mates on GE Council would say, “It just all fake news”
